WHO WE ARE
Do-gooders who love Boyd Hill Nature Preserve and Florida’s wild places. We are serious about service, but with a laid-back style.
Our goal is to provide financial and volunteer support to protect and promote the Preserve. Examples of our work include hosting member appreciation events, providing camp scholarships, funding environmental education exhibits, underwriting the Natural History Speaker Series, and supplementing the Bird of Prey program. Although we work closely with the City of St. Petersburg, we do not own or manage the Preserve and its programs.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Email a resumé and statement of interest to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name, phone number, email address, and a brief biography. The statement of interest should tell us what you know about what we do and how you think that your unique attributes can further the mission of the Friends. Examples of a time when you demonstrated personal initiative and follow-through are appreciated.
Applicants will participate in a casual interview with a current Board Member and are encouraged to attend a Board meeting on May 18 (meeting being held at Hops 2.0, 225 2nd Ave. N.) or June 15. Those recommended by the Nominating Committee will be considered by the general membership during the August election and inaugurated at the Annual Planning Meeting in September/October 2023.
